Duleepa - In The Wake of Empires and
Danny - The Intrepid Mongolia Tour both provide completely different but equally entertaining looks at the same tour that I took, although Intrepid Travel have since tinkered with the itinerary a bit. It was funny quizzing our guide about stories told in these two journals (particularly Duleepa's) such as the pink ger (which we saw, also adding blue, grey, green and orange to that list), the Robin and Jargalan liaison which created a lot of controversy and excitement amongst the Mongolian tour guides and ger camps, the guide who talks about birds a lot, the incident of the van nearly being washed away (according to our driver, due to some truly idiotic decisions from the Intrepid leader, which caused massive financial distress to the driver of that van...), the rough driving.
